Default JcrOffroad Protyping: Crusader Roof Rack! Revisted!

Many of you might remember our attempt at prototyping a new roof rack. We built it out of all flat and the prototype was WAY to heavy and the idea just wasn't coming together.

This was our the design we failed at making into a viable product:

So we finally decided to hit the drawing board again!

Our #1 issue was to be able to make it modular to allow for being broken down for shipping. Our last Low profile rack would cost us $175 for UPS ground

After some brain storming, we came up with a nice hybrid idea between our old tube design and our new flat steel idea:

Possible options:
No Lightbar
Led Lightbar
Halogen Lightbar
Adjustable TireMount
Hi-Lift Mount
Half Sides (for front or rear section)
Full Sides
Middle Extension (for full length)
Mounts for different vehicles (TJ/YJ/CJ/LJ/JK/ZJ/KJ ect)

Turn into metal:

The hoop is a bolt on deal, the rack bolts together in the middle.

Looks great. Send that one to me ( I'll pay shipping) and give an honest non-biased review on it. I'll also post any and all comments from others in my area.

Edit: on a serious note, what is cost looking like?

something seems "missing" between the lights. yeah if you had 4 lights it would fill out that gap, but with only 2 it looks weird.

the light hoop is a little tall for me. I think all the bars on top of the rack need a little more tweaking

We only had these two floating around the shop. We ordered some Hella Rally lights for it, should be here soon.

Those are only 5" lights. The hoop is the same height as our old low profile utility rack.

I agree... It does not look the same as the old one (which I loved) to me. But I will still probably get one.

Must be the angle or the 5" lights, it's the same exact hoop.
