When I lived in South Africa, the insurance premium for my old Jeep was the equivalent of about US$150 per year and now I'm in Portugal, I pay about US$60 per year for my old Jeep and about US$150 per year for my newer (2000) Jeep. All these policies give me cover for ANY driver.

My friends in the UK are often paying premiums of well over US$1500 per year for named driver only.

Can I ask what sort of premiums you guys in the US have to pay?

$703.70/year for my 95 Jeep and 2013 Optima. It will go down once the tickets come off of my girlfriends driving record. After 2 years the insurance no longer bases their rates on them.

I'd assume it is cheaper out there because Americans, in general, are whiny, cry babies and will sue/make a huge deal over every single thing. There's also a lot of insurance fraud. This country is so jacked up.

About $300 a year for my 90 XJ Laredo and another $300 a year for the 88 MJ.

CT. U.S. $2400 a year for two vehicles. It's high because I travel far to work.

I'm in Indiana (U.S.) I pay $110 a month for my 99 and my 91 (which is put down as a recreational vehicle, its my wheeler) that's with just me as the only covered driver. Its also pretty good coverage, includes un-insured and under-insured motorist, plus double all the legal minimums on coverage.

Mine is about $200 per month, only because I'm 18, not under parents insurance anymore and I live in Surprise, AZ. If I was back in Flagstaff it would be about 175

I pay $39 mo for full coverage on my 97 xj thru State Farm

edit: it's my dd and I'm the only covered driver

I pay 78.00 month for full coverage with roadside assistance and towing. But that 78.00 is combined between my DD and the Xj.
