Hi. I bought a 98 2door with a automatic 4.0 2x4 and im new to the jeep (scene) if you will. First things first, How do i find out what kind of trans, transfer case, front and rear end i have?

Your year auto = AW4 with the 4.0
Transfer case 2x4 means it does not have four wheel drive. Part time 4x4 is Np231. If you have full time option Np242
Front axle is Dana 30
Rear axle is dana 35 with Abs. Chrysler 8.25 no abs.
