well last time I went to gulches I couldn't keep my tires out of my fenders and I popped one flare off and bent the studs for the flares. That's the biggest problem I have. I bumpstopped it but I feel like there's so much wasted room since the tires just need a little more to tuck in the fenders. I don't know I guess I should just leave it for now.

I'm waiting for my herculiner quart to arrive in the mail. My stock flares have some very minor rough spots on them and I was considering painting them as well as the rear bumper.

Any tips from your application?

Take your time.. Just bought a bumper from a gentleman on CL and he had done a quick job of Herculiner-ing said bumper.. It looked like ****.. lots of areas with heavy concentration of the "grit" and others with barely any. I would assume shaking it constantly is necessary so you don't have the same results. I didn't want the Herculiner look on the bumper so I got the fortune of removing it which was not so fun. Just waiting on a little more time off to hit it with a final DA smoothing before I prime and paint.

be careful taking the nuts off and putting them back on. The studs break VERY EASILY broke 2 because I snugged it down too tight. Make sure to prep the fenders well for paint and have at it. Personally I prefer rustoleum spray on liner for bumpers and such. It's got a gritty texture but it's really easy to clean, cheap and really easy to fix if it ever gets messed up.

oh and if you're in a rusty place make sure to spray every nut and bolt you plan to remove with pb blaster a least a couple days before.
