I am looking at picking up a '00 XJ, but don't want to overpay
If I post up some details about the Jeep in question, would some of you care to give me a "don't pay more than that" price? I really don't know enough about modded XJ's. All I know is what they blue book for.
I am a Wrangler guy usually, and would gladly do the same if someone was asking about a Wrangler. If you guys don't allow this, or like to do this, I understand.
First off, this thing is really clean and you can tell that it has been taken well care of.
'00 Cherokee Classic, 4.0
186K miles
Auto, Air, Tilt, Cruise, Power everything
HP Dana 30 in the front and The 8.25 out back with positive traction and 4.10's
4.5 " Rought Country Lift, control arm drop brackets w/ adj control arms.
265 KM2's, which look nearly new.
ARB front bumper, custom rear bumper and sliders
The guy uses all royal purple fluids and has since he has owned it.
I want this thing, but I don't want to overpay. Please help, I'll buy you a beer someday.

sounds very clean. he will be asking $7000-$8000 for that yeah?
if it's REALLY clean it's probably worth whatever blue book says, plus $1000
$4000-$5000 would be my personal price range for that

Thanks for the reply. I actually looks cleaner than my '11 JK...hahaha
He is asking $7500, and will go as low as 7K. I am not thrilled at 7K. Blue book is $5300.

damnit I'm good. lol
sounds like a nice jeep that is only a few upgrades away from being an awesome jeep. you will never be able to build one that cheap. it's definitely worth $6000

Ya split it with him $6,500. I paid $5,000 for my 01 100% stock. Another $5k+/- and it's pretty close to where I want it. $6,500 is a good price & sounds like it has some good upgrades already.

like I said, just a few tweaks/upgrades away from being an awesome jeep. what was the final price?
