How To Search

CherokeeForum.com has a lot of great information. Sometimes the best way to get at that information is through a good search. Here are some steps in order to make an effective search.

Basically you have two types of Search, a Quick Search and an Advanced Search.

Quick Search
If you want to do a quick Search you can just click the word Search in the header bar and then enter the word or words that you want to search on and then press the 'Go' button.

Advanced Search
An Advanced Search though can be a great way to find the information you need. You click on the word Search in the header bar then click on the 'Advanced Search' link which is under the Search box. This will take you to the Advanced Search screen where you can enter more specific criteria on what you would like to search on.

You can search by a lot of different criteria with an advanced search. Some of the popular criteria are Key Words, user name, tags, or search in a specific forum.

Hope this helps!

Some of the CF veterans showed me a different way and I feel it is more effective. Go to a google search and type "site:cherokeeforum.com" then follow that with what you want to search. Just another option to try!

I love this Forum...but it is NOT friendly for "mobile users"...a lot of folks don't have a $600.00 I-Phone and this site loads 5-7 times for every "click"..ending with a blank white page (going back starts the whole forum over) or lands you in "re-director" hell.where you get stuck in one of the "death pit" Ad Streams...again forcing you to start all over again....As most "newbie's" are young folk...they live off their phones and this "runs them off" this site forever..a sad thing..."search" is so hard to use on a mobile that "newbies" just ask their questions whever they can get a page to land on..... I have been around for a while and I am using a decent Gen. 1 Android ...it makes me want to scream ....(
