Two door XJ’s can be very difficult to find but they’re definitely out there. I recently flew down to southern ca and drove mine back to Sacramento Ca.

I got lucky with mine. I saw it in a Kijiji ad at about 9:00 am. I drove 20 mi. to see it at 11:00 am and bought it. The vendor drove to my house to drop it off at about 4:00 pm. His wife drove him home. It was probably the easiest vehicle I ever bought! lol

Is it 4WD?
I've definitely noticed (anecdotally) that a 2dr is more likely going to be a manual trans than an auto.
My 2dr 4X4 5sp seems to get more attention from would-be buyers than my 4dr 4x4 5sp. I personally prefer 4drs so I don't really get it BUT... those 2dr door openings are so nice and big! Plus, any 4.0, ax15 4x4 Jeep is awesome.

They arent nearly as common as 4 doors. From what I have seen most 2 doors seem to be base models. Bare bones no power options.
You get a monster door to climb in and out of. You do not lose any interior space.

Where the 4 doors shine is getting kids in and out of car seats and loading cargo into the back seat.
Ease of entry & exit for driver and spotter 2 doors win by such a large margin it's not even a contest.
Based on that alone it's reasonable to assume the reason 4 doors outsold 2 doors is the majority of buyers had kids.
