How much to sell my XJ?
Regrettably, I may have to sell my Cherokee. It is a 1998 Classic (hence my username) with 200k miles and it needs an alignment and maybe some steering work. Great interior with all creature comforts working properly. When I bought it, I paid $700 and have since put on 4 aux. lights up top. How much should I ask for it? Any help would be much appreciated.

Wow. I paid $1000 for mine, it's 6 years older, and had no brakes and a busted u-joint.
^^ I just recently saw that smiley, and figured this would be a great thread to test it out on haha =]

You are just asking how much your jeep is worth.

Go to kbb.com or nada.com, they will give you a good ball park for your area. Alot of times you can't get all the money back that you spent in mod's, but to me is seems like you picked it up for a really good deal. Good luck, sorry to hear you have to sell it.

i payed $2,800 for a 2000 sport with 153,000 miles on it and as it approaches 200,000..... with the modifications i could not sell it under 3,300 but for you i would suggest around $2,600 as long as its 4x4. sorry you gotta sell it you'll find another one someday though.

I'm getting tired of these type of threads. Do some research with www.kbb.com and the craiglist for your area and see what other people are asking for their XJ. These threads make wonder if the original poster is just trolling for offers, or just showing off their rig. As a side note: The off road lights and stereo that you installed will not add enough value to the vehicle to make you think you could get a few extra hundred bucks.

Well, good news is, I get to keep my Jeep. Bad news is, I can't get the other truck I wanted. I guess that means more money for me to build my rig.....
