They’re not “rare” nor is any other XJ ... the new CF epidemic .

I once read 16,000 were sold in 1987. dont know if its true. that sounds rare considering the number of xj's built. I would think the 4 headlight arrangement would qualify for a model rather than just trim package

There are definitely "rare" options on Cherokees. Cherokees as a whole may not be rare, but there are some things that are very hard to find.
