how hard do you wheel your 2" or stock height jeep
Just asking cause im getting a 2" lift tomorrow. I plan on going 4.5 but gonna be at 2 for maybe 6 months or so. What parts are guys breaking? What other mods are you running? track bar,hd tie rod, etc...

trim your fenders, get big tires, extend your bumpstops.
Tall lifts are over rated. |

This was my bone stock 91. Wheeled it hard to see what the limits were of a stock rig. Got stuck a lot, had to avoid some great trails, but it showed me what a great platform these things are.

pretty hard. none of the suspension or axles were stock.

I have wheeled mine in some stock and moderate. Get ready to stack rocks and stuff to get you through. By moderate I mean trails where at least 33's were preferred. I took a wrong turn lol, but I would run them again.
Here is an old clip of one trail on 2". This was my first XJ http://youtu.be/sDGh5xWRf1Q |
I've bottomed out on just about everything under the floor so far without doing any major damage haha. I replaced the exhaust three times bc that's usually the first thing that hits. Also just built some new rockers for it. Unfortunately I have bigger priorities than buying a 4.5 inch long arm

BB to the max
Nothing hasn't broken so far (knock on wood), but I do newbie wheeling for the moment. |
trying not to trim the fenders yet. rock sliders and hd tie rod i think are my next mods my lower bushings are already gone. im gonna buy some after market control arms end of this week

Buy a set of sliders, weld em up, and go with ZJ steering. Youll be going in the right direction.

It was pretty tough! the 5 spd. definitely helped. The guys would swear it had lockers but both were open. I had a lot of rock rash on it but chicks dig scars :brows: lol |

I'm pretty easy on mine... it's a daily driver and I don't really feel like breaking things too often (though it's inevitable). I'll go through the trails but I don't much break 25 miles per hour doing so, and that's under ideal circumstances.

2.5in and 32's. Going to 3 here in a week. But that is it. That is the max lift I will see. I go right with the big boys.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...2_143212-1.jpg Rock sliders do wonders, especially on smaller rigs. I use them to pivot around obstacles and carry me across things. Make sure you have some armor underneath, decent flex and wheel it hard! So far my height and small tires has not stopped me from going anywhere. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...816_172840.jpg |
