4.5"-5.5". Just my guess. You could measure center of wheel to flare or axle tube to uniframe rail. I don't remember what stock is but search this site and it will tell you or somebody on here will chime in with stock measurements.

You can run 31's on a stock XJ, but that is certainly more than 2 inches of lift so when you got it, there was lift there.
Did you add lift blocks? If you did then I'm going to say it probably had 3-3.5in kit on it and you added another two.

im pretty sure from the middle of the wheels to the flare is 17 inches stock in the front and 17.5 in the back. just measure it out

looks like 5.5 or 6 inch lift to me. It would probably be less if the fenders were trimmed. but with stock fenders and that much clearance on 33s definitely at least 5.5inches.
