Default Heater hose clamps

I have a 2000 XJ and I just bought a curt roof rack and some Tuff led backup lights. I'm having a hard time finding anything to mount them up with and I'm not going to drill into my rack because it will weaken it and make it rust.I'm wondering If I can use heater hose clamps(the metal clamps) to attach them to my roof rack safely and reliable? I need them to stand up to trail riding and as a daily driver duty. If anyone has used these or know someone who has can you tell me how they done on and off the road.I'm thinking of using 2 on each light to hold them nice and tight so they don't move around any.If anyone has some pics could you post them up thank you.

How big of a hole is going to weaken your roof rack? If you paint it, it wont rust.

I find it ironic your user name is "Anit-ricer" and you are asking about using hose clamps to fasten lights to a roof rack. Lol.

Drill a hole or weld a tab on to the rack and stick the lights up there.

Also, this is not OEM tech. Reported to be moved.
