I need your help, please ..
I always hear about the electricity problems in Jeeps, but I think some people think so because we don't have experts in American cars .... some days ago, when I started my Jeep in the morning, I noticed that the oil pressure gage was at 80 and the check engine light was on ... I shocked and turned off the engine for about 5 mins. then I started it again: it was normal but the check engine light still on ....:furious: Today I'll try to chek it. It costs 26 dollars.... I'll tell you the result to help me ....:thumbup1:

Here what I got:
Fault: P0455 Vacuum leaks. Faulty evaporative emission system. Faulty/Loose/missing fuel cap. Faulty fuel tank pressure sensor. Faulty canister purge control solenoid. Faulty evaporated emmission system flow sensor/s. Please help me  |
|
Video doesn't work but that code is, as it says, bad vacuum lines to evap canister. Could be pulled loose or cracked from the heat. This type question should be posted in the tech section Arab.

So, are these dangerous things?
|
|
not dangerous but will keep throwing the code and will potentially give you worse gas mileage and might not run right especially at idle. Best to search for it and fix it. May even smell gas fumes d/t not purging correctly.
|
of course I am going to ask... did you check the gas cap? Was it on loose? I had this problem a couple of weeks ago. I just needed to tighten the cap. It will take a while for the light to turn off so you could remove the negative battery cable to reset the light and see if it comes back on. Otherwise check the evap canister under the rear driver side under the jeep just past the rear seat. There are two hoses that go to this box and they have a tendancy to rot or come off.

there is no fuel smell till now ....

idle is when you are not pressing the gas, every engine has an idle

Check your gas cap, make sure its on there properly. then disco the batt for about 5 min the reconnect and start.... just a test for your code..
