Good buy or no?
Hey all, newbie around here. So basically I am sick of driving ****ty little economy cars (98 Civic Ex) and am ready to get into a real vehicle. My buddy has a 89 YJ and I've been looking around for a good deal on an XJ that I can keep for a lot of years and beat up. I was on Craigslist and I came across this. This is the site to the dealer.

Was just wondering if you guys think it would be a good deal. Thanks ahead of time.

It looks like it has some rusty screws in the back. I would pull all of that carpet up and check for rust under the carpet.
If there's no rust, maybe, just maybe, I would pay $4900 for it. But I see some rust at the bottoms of the doors and stuff.

Price is a little high, but hey, it's from a dealer, so they expect to be negotiated with. I'd offer $4000 and go no higher than $4900. Awesome miles, good year, it has the np231 transfer case which is easy to work with. Definitely a good find...
