Default Fender Flares

Long story short....Went hunting a month or so ago, high centered my XJ, buddy pulled me out at an angle and somehow the passenger side front stock fender flare came off and cracked. Me, in my scotch and beer mixed state, decided that the driver side needed to "match" and I pulled that one off also . I kinda like the way the Jeep looks with out the flares, but I would like to see some XJ's with flares on, other than stock. I'm not wanting to drop a lot of money on a set of flares, i.e. bushwacker. Thanks a lot for the suggestions.

do the TJ flares mount right up or do you have to do some mods on them?

You will have to do some minor fab work to mount TJ flares. My suggestion would be to use only the rear one off the tjs. Looks better to me. I personally run flareless.

Thanks GRN99. I really like the way the XJ's look without the flares. I would just like to see some different options before i take the mounting brackets and rear flares off mine. Your's looks really good.

I bought these on Ebay. Doug over on NAXJA made some prototypes because he wanted something stronger and smaller than the BW's. Mine were $300 shipped. I considered Rustys, but like the looks of these better.

Here's the link on NAXJA. http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.ph...der+flare+poll

Doug has some pictures too in a photo album. Send him a PM if interested, I'm very happy.

I really like the look of the TJ flares. I found a complete set on ebay for about 130 bucks. What kind of modifications will I need to do in order to fit them? I like the way this looks.

Also, would this style of flare look stupid if I still have stock suspension?
