going doorless
I guess people shouldn't ride motorcycles either.

It's why you see Wranglers roll over so much off road.

yeah.. well modding your doors to be removable is nice for when you're off road. you and your passenger can just lean over and see obstacles. it's really helpful when trying to follow a tricky line without a spotter around. then go home and put them back on if you want

Do it. Mine honestly makes less unibody creaking when wheeling with them off (probably because the creacking is the door seals unseating because the unibody flexes around the doors)

how much of an idiot can you be to say that no matter what you take your doors off of it could be a minivan and it will bring down the safety of driving it. if you want to have fun you have to take risks and its not like we drive like the idiots in india and that crap hole over there were there are no stop signs and no traffic lights then i wouldn't. i cruse around on the highway and everywhere when its nice out i love it
Fwiw CJ mirrors work really well for a rear view replacement. You have to grind off a little of the end, but other than that you can simply through a 1/4" carriage bolt through it and the hinge and you'll have functional rear view side mirrors.
Also, I'd highly suggest you drill all the hinge holes out to 1/4" (slightly bigger than they are from the factory) it gives just enough more space to make removing and putting the doors back on really easy.
I'd also suggest that you cut the top hinge pin left in the door in half. It's still plenty to hold the door in place, but it makes putting the doors back on much easier. When they're the same length it's a pain in the *** getting both in because the bottom tends to want to go in first due to gravity and the doors being heavy.

Nah, just stuff some pool noodles in between the fender or rivet in some vinyl to keep the mud from slinging between the body and fenders. I get mud all over my seats, the door wells, the dash, ect, but very little of it ends up on my floor unless I run through mud deeper than the bottom of the door ways. The grey interior is easy to clean anyway.
