Default Getting started.

I'm getting my first jeep soon. Cherokee sport 2dr. I need some tips, reviews, recommendations to good parts, other sites that could help me more, etc. been looking at some exhaust snorkel systems, some lift kits, tires, racks, engine mods, etc. this is gonna be a daily driver but still a badass truck that I can show off at the pits. I want it to sound as bad *** as it looks. Here's an idea of what I want to have it look like. All tips and help are appreciated

How is you rig set up now? Pics?!?!? Where do you want to start? What type of wheeling are you going to be doing; mud?

I don't have it yet I'm trying to decide what options are best for me. I want something good for mud and mild off road but still hauls down the road.

So your still looking for a Cherokee to buy? If so, IMO 97-99 are some of the best years to build.

Performance wise, after some basic maintenance which I'm sure it will need, you might consider a cold air intake (snorkel or cowl), bored out throttle body, and a free flowing aftermarket exhaust system. This combination will produce noticeable results (hp gain, torque, throttle response).

Some questions. Would a carbon hood be good enough to withstand a little bit of off road? Anything I need to focus first on being extremely durable so I can get that done with early? And what's the best exhaust I can use for a snorkel system to get the most horse power with? Good air filters? Belts? Anything really.

Exhaust isn't my strong point. I'd direct those questions to this thread: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/al...3854/index192/

carbon fiber hood? snorkel for horsepower? shut this thread down and go do some research in the forums. sounds like you're about to waste a bunch of money on a class A mall crawler

I like the 98 ? up jeeps myself but to each his own. Only thing is the LP D 30 sucks major ***. And of course with the exhaust all catted up its a pain to get everything to play nice together if you wanted to swap in a HP 30 . So I heard and from looking under mine.

I'm just talking stronger parts, less aftermarket swaps, and yes, I do like the newer interiors. Really anything 91+ is good.
