truck did its job, i walked away with only a little airbag burn. but now im without a vehicle. which brings me to the reason for this post.

one of my buddies has a 2000 XJ that id like to buy. its a 4 door SE 4.0, AW4, NP231, D30/C8.25 w/ LSD. manual everything with 170xxx miles. its got a 3 inch IRO lift and brand new 31 inch BFG all terrains on steel d windows. only problems are the AC needs to be recharged and it got punched in the passenger side rear quarter and split the metal. he had it welded, just needs to be ground down and bondo-ed.

hes talked about putting it on craigslist, but i told him to hang on to it, one day i WILL buy it. nows my chance i think.
what do you guys think would be fair to offer him?

I'm glad you are OK!
Is this an Arizona jeep? With no rust? If so they are hard to find.
Price seems to be dictated by state or region. I'm in NC so I can't help there.

most likely the ac needs more than a recharge. cherokee's are known for the evap coil getting a leak in it. to replace it you need to pull the dash apart about an 8 hour job from what i hear
