Gear install prices
 

How much ya'll paying for gear installs? I was quoted by two shops locally at $700 with me supplying everything. For that price I will do it myself. This is in Huntsville, AL BTW.

Between 200-300 per axle is common

That's crazy. When I had gears installed in my mustang, it only cost like 100 bucks

Take it somewhere but strip it yourself...should save some $$

East Coast Gear Supply (NC) quoted me $250 for a completely stripped d44 with me also supplying all the parts. I ended up setting it up myself. it's really not hard at all to do, it just takes time and patience. Took me about 2 days to get it set up where I was happy with it

I will most likely do it myself. Just figured if the price wasnt too bad I would happily pay someone. But 700 is way too much.
