Fog lights/brushguard
just bought a black wrap around brushguard for the 00' xj. the stock fog lights are junk, i now have some very good headlights, but would like to delete the stock fog's, and add a good set to the light bar on the guard, cause i dont think the lenses are removable. i dont want to spend a fortune, and not have ones that are huge and stick out like a sore thumb, but want good light also, is there any you guys recommend?? i was thinking of taking off the stock, and just cutting out the part of the sproiler thats around the light, what do you guys think?

I say put the lights u get on a roof rack, I got the KC slim driving lights. I bought my rack but check out warthog's profile. He made his rack and it looks great. depending what kind of wheeling u do, lights on the brush guard might get brushed off.

i dont get too extreme to rip anything off the brushguard. i just want opinions on a good set of lights, fog or driving, but prefer fog's for right now. looking for a good set for under a $100, and would like to know how to wire up to the factory switch without burning up the wire. i installed the upgraded headlight harness, and would like to do something like that with the fog lights when i get them, but be able to keep the factory switch.

Not sure what lights are under 100 but the KC are great lights for 150 (for2) As for factory swith It should be prewired with a relay, only two lights per relay, if more, thats when u burn wire. My jeep didnt come with foglights but I wanted the switch so I went to the Junk yard and got it and the lights. In my dash there was the plug in for it. Now I just have to figure out where to connect the fog light wires at the other end and probably put in a fuse.

rectangles are much less noticeable! the white for driving lights or the amber for fogs. and there pretty cheap!
