Fine tuning the cherokee

I have had my xj for about 7 months now. When I bought it, it had 110500 on the ticker. Now its coming up to the 120000 mark and I wanna have it running in peak condition. So far I have done 2 oil changes, given it a seafoam run through, new spark plugs, new muffler, brakes, k&n intake, just simple stuff so far. I want to know if there is anything else i could do to have it running at peak performance. I just adjusted some throttle cables today and it is running better than before, but i wanted to see if there is anything else along those lines on making the 4.0L as good as new.
Thanks!

You could look into the 703 swap. Which is using (Neon) injectors with 4 ports on the injector instead of 1.

Also, how much of a difference did adjusting the throttle cables make? Worth it?

I noticed a huge difference in response and acceleration, so yes. I think it is very worth it considering it took me all of 15 seconds to do it. How hard is it to do the injector swap?

I have to get me one of those k&n intakes...

Injectors can take about 1-2 hours given that you're taking your time and have all the parts that you need. I upgraded to the ford 19s and so far have noticed a smoother idle, some more throttle response, and haven't driven it enough since especially since I took it on some trails to determine if there were any mpg gains

It's very, very easy. There is a guy on here, username is Programbo, and he sells the upgraded injectors. If I'm not mistaken, you will need the 784's, not the 703's since you have a 2000. It took me less than 30 minutes, and I ran into some trouble along the way.

Here is a writeup. Very helpful.

Thank you. I will definitely do this when time allows for it

Did you get cold air intake or just regular K&N airtake?

There's a couple threads on it that go into more detail but ill give the short version. There's is this button on the cable that like a D shape. You push it down and push the little plastic sleeve thing that hold the cable back into it. Then let go. Then press the button again and open up the throttle all the way. Make sure the car is off in park! And once you open it up you should hear a little click. And that's it. There are other threads that probably explain it better than I did but that's what I did in a nutshell basically.

I got the k&n cold intake kit. Which was a new intake and a heat shield that mounts where the old intake did. Now I dont know if the cold aspect really works but the intake itself does suck in a hell of a lot more air. it cost me 215 bucks shipped.

Would anyone happen to know where to find the thread? Like what would that be under?
