EXT. Idle Switch
 

How many of you have police Cherokees (4.0l) with the Factory extended idle switch?
97+ is easy and the FSM goes into detail on it, (I did a writeup, if they ever approve it...) Im trying to figure it out for 91-96.

and one for a 98

My 93 has one but it doesn't work

it only works in park i have noticed and it just revs at a higher rpm.

park and neutral, 1000rpm

I have tried it in park/neutral and it doesnt do anything

I drove both a '97 and a '98 with the State Patrol and both had extended idle.

i saw your write up and if anyone is interested i found these switches while looking for something else...
