e brake?

so i was lookin at my truck flexed today and it looks like the ebrake is holding the rear from flexing all the way,so i was wondering if it was a bad idea to take it out!?!? i have a 5 speed so i just keep it in first when i park! i just wanted to now if it would be a good or bad idea to take it out and y!?!? its my dd to!

Good idea to keep it since you have a manual. Always good to have that backup just in case. For the ones of us with automatics, the transmission locks the vehicle in place so it wouldn't be as necessary.

Always a better idea to set that brake. From personal (embarrassing) experience I say leave it on. You'll regret the first time you bump it to neutral and walk away not realizing it and then later getting a phone call asking " is this ur vehicle that rolled down the street?". I won't get into more details cuz it still makes me feel like an idiot.

You should not rely soley on the engine compression to hold you vehicle, set the parking brake. All it takes is some idiot to bump your rig on a hill and down it goes.
