I'm looking around at options for a tire carrier. This is just awesome.
I'd thought I'd get some opinions on it.
So, what do ya'll think?

I do too. But I have a tire cover for the Jeep Club I'm in (Southern High Rollers). Thats why I want a tire carrier on the back.

Also a tire on the roof creates drag and more top heavy weight that I don't want. Plus I want to bring my rear down. My new leafs make the Cherokee ***** High.

I already have decals. I bought the tire cover to support a charity that the club gives money to every december to buy foster kids christmas toys. But I wanted one anyways. But I like the look of a tire carrier on the back. But, I could throw my spare on the roof in the mean time while I save up for the tire carrier.

Is that price for the truck tire carriers or the hitch tire carrier. Plus my club gets a percentage off from 4wheelparts. So it wouldn't be that much. Also it wouldn't be shipped to my house. I could go pick it up in town.

thats sweet, almost what I'm going to fab up for my xj. I've got the carrier itself just need to fab up the mount. I was going to go off of the side of the hitch but after seeing that I might buy a hitch extender and build something similar to that. heres what I have

Here's an idea for those who want a tire carrier without buying a new heavy bumper..This is what I plan on using.

I looked at that too. But would the hatch be able to open? It looks like the hinge would get in the way.

Tiregate makes good stuff I had their bed gate on my fullsize 06 cummins quadcab turbodiesel and it held my spare 37" tire/rim. (I had it setup with a full Carli prerunner system about 15k in suspension).
It held my spare through jumps and beatings well.
