Default Do I need an alignment after 3" lift?

I had an alignment done when I first purchased the car 3 years ago, and my tires have worn perfectly even ever since then. I planned on dropping $50 for an alignment once I get my tires on in the next 2 days, but after thinking about it, do I need to if my tires were already wearing evenly?

Oh, and my car doesn't pull to the left or the right either...

yes. it doesn't matter if you lift it an inch or 10 inches. you will need an alignment. it's because of jeeps inverted y steering setup.
if you refuse to align, be prepared to tear the treads right off your tires in a matter of a few miles. you may even be lucky to get the hot rubber dusting melted to the side of your jeep as the tires wear away.
don't laugh, i've seen it before.

it's an easy alignment procedure that you can do in your driveway.

Yeah, I assumed I would still need to. I'll just let a shop handle it. I'd rather not mess around with it after just dropped $1,000 on my tires

I'd rather bite the bullet this first time and make sure I get it done correctly, then touch it up each time after that

Silly question, but will I gain any ride height when I go from my 225s to 31s? I've heard people say yes and no.

Of course you will. 31s are bigger than 235s

Depends on how much tread is left and what brand to be honest.

My 225s are like 60% in the front and 35% in the rear. New tires are 31x10.50 BFG AT KOs. I was just wondering how much taller I should expect

you'll get maybe a half inch guessing spec's are 30.5" for the 31's 28" for the 225's, half of that will be on the top of the tire adding nothing to the lift height.

If there's a 2.5" difference, wouldn't the overall height gain be like 1.25" then? It's not like the tread is different on the bottom than on the top.
