DIY Beadlocks Post 'em up
For all those here running DIY Beadlocks, post up pictures of them. Along with your opinion on using them. Pros and Cons, are they a pain in the arse and would you do it again..
 |
I like them, have had two sets myself, and helped a bunch of friends do them...
I have a buddy with access to a water jet, we give him measurements and a design and he draws them up on auto cad and cuts them for us. 24 bolts per tire sucks when you have to change a tire... I just ditched my 38's for some 37" MTR's and had to dis- mount and mount them again.. grab a 9/16 wrench and a air gun and go to town...it definitely sucks. But once you're done it's worth it. I run 4-6 pounds on slick rock in Moab and never worry about dropping bead. Here's some we have made... First set... http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a...0001Medium.jpg Second set... http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/NewImage.jpg These are 16.5's... http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a...0108Medium.jpg http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a.../IMG950111.jpg Mine.. http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a...0726101938.jpg Just did these... http://i969.photobucket.com/albums/a...1111100942.jpg And we have done a couple other just plain sets... |
