Default Diff fluids??

Hey guys,

Ive been googling, but my brains started to hurt... Im overdue for a change of front and rear diff fluid, as well as transmission and t-case fluids. Front axle is a dana 30. rear dana 35 (1998 xj). T-case is a np 231 part-time, and the transmission is an AX-15 5 speed manual..
Could any of you guys recommend good, reasonably priced fluids?.. what suits the xj best??
Any advice is always appreciated - thanks guys!

I put synthetics in my diffs only b/c I don't change them that often (every 12k miles or so - once a year). Transfer case, I use Dex/Merc III. I have an auto, so can't help with the manual.

For the manual transmission (AX-15) it reccomends 75W-90 but dont waste your time. If you want to spend alittle extra cash get four quarts of royal purple 10W-40. The transmission only takes alittle over 3 quarts but in my AX-15 reverse had a problem engaging and I got a creaking noise when i pushed in the clutch. The Royal purple made my shifts smoother and took away the noise, also I dont have to put it into another gear anymore for it to engage reverse so just something to think about. And the diff's are 75W-90 as well, I just used Coastle, was something like $10 over here for 5 quarts.

Thanks guys - Ive copied all that info onto a word document. Interesting what you said xxxj99xx about reverse gear trouble, and the creaking sound from the clutch.. im having trouble getting 2nd (especially when the transmissions still cold), and my clutch creaks like hell even though ive emptied a can of wd40 onto it. I'll try the royal purple 10w 40.. hopefully that'll help - appreciate the advice.

FYI Royal Purple recommends 10W30 or lighter if your tranny is worn at all.

If you have a limited slip differential it uses a friction modifier to lube the clutched in it.
