Cummins makes decent priced 4cyl turbodiesels and conversion kits.. Save your pennys.
|
I'd love to drive that. And considering that everything was swapped over profesionally then I'd definetly be interested.

|
That looks like a nice xj and a diesel swap for that price hmmmm kinda hard to believe though.
|
too bad its a 97.
If it was a 96 around here and I had the money, it would be gone already. |
They don't even have a picture of the engine! Its a hoax!
|
I have a '98 diesel XJ ;)
But well... I live in Europe too! Did you know a cheap diesel XJ in Estonia costs 5000USD? Although they are pretty common. Bought mine for 6000USD I envy your car/gas prices! |
i wish i had the ad number, There was A 89' Xj here a while back ago. that had an original factory build diesel. Was a custom build from the factory. it sold for like $5000 it was sweet.
i want a diesel xj aswell. |

Definitely not saying it's cheaper, but not exorbitant for what it is. Plus little diesels are a blast to own. Great on gas, and just all-around cool. |

Wonder if you could find out who makes the motor? Jeep use to use Rnolt or some crazy name like that. Should be able to get a complete swap from Jeep. Wouldn't be cheep. And take some time for shipping. But there also has to be aftermarket support over by you. Right? Please give all info you can. Hate driving my POS Jetta to save $ and only getting 28 MPGs. |
Renault made the old ones, the newer ones are VM Motori.
Google/wiki/jeepforum wiki are your friends... |
Yes, it's a VM motori 425 OHV
Pretty bulletproof, only have to change the head gasket every 200k or so. There is a ton of information about it on: http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...play.php?f=123 Also, this engine is mainly used in boats and generators  |
