Custom shifter handle idea
First off, I DO NOT NEED A SHIFT ****. No need to post pics of your grenades or 8 ***** or anything. I have a much more interesting need.
I have a manual transmission. The shifter lever itself was cut off. There is a very small nub left, and that's all I have to work with. I want to weld SOMETHING in place of the lever itself...attach it to the nub.
I do not want questions about why I dont find another lever. I've got that covered. I want something else.
Any ideas? Prybar? Adjustable wrench? Half a cam? Axle shaft outta something?
So toss up your ideas!

Maybe go down to the mortuary and see if they will let you have a femur. Shave one end and keep the joint on the other...Ok ok, i'm joking...maybe

Put the box end up, and then bolt two sockets to each side for your shifter handle. I know you said you didn't need shifter handle ideas, but it fits the tool for a shift lever theme.

Unfortunatly I'm trying to stick with a 'bare bones' (pun intended) look, i dont have a dash, i took it out because I didnt like it.
I think a bone would hinder that look a bit. An actual tool, tho, would be different.

What I would seriously do...doesn't have to be this exact one but you get the idea. Wire it up if your real crafty.
