Got tired of my arm sweating on the plastic so I covered my center console lid with canvas like black denim

Does any body wanna show me some pics of Better storage places? Like I have a 2000 xj and I really don't like the storage bin inside the center council cause it has all those stupid slots for CDs I don't even use CDs is there a way I can just replace the bin for one with storage spots? or am I gunna have to make one myself?

Probably something simple that is going to make me feel stupid, haha, but had to ask.

pic didn't come with the quote. The one I'm referring to is in post #4

I used an old style battery terminal to extend the mounting screw. No pics but it worked. You just have to macgyver it a lil. You wont fit much larger than a 30 back there. I had a 30 mounted and it was tight.

It's funny you mention "those stupid slots". My 98 has slots designed for cassettes. I haven't had a cassette tape since about 1990. Anyway, it turns out that those slots worked out perfect for me. I'm an IT consultant, and the Western Digital MyPassport 1.5TB portable hard drives fit perfect in there!! I use them for backing up data at all of my clients' offices, so it's kinda cool to me that I have enough storage for 9 of those drives, or 13.5 terabytes of storage!!

Also, here's my rear cubby sub install. I wanted it to look as close to a factory option as possible. I have a little more fit-n-finish tweaking I want to do, but for a first run, this turned out pretty good.

I'm almost totally ignorant when it comes to vehicle audio systems. What's the info with that sub? Looks itty bitty from what I'm used to seeing and more like something I could use to get a little more bass. Does it need an amp to drive it or does an aftermarket head unit have enough umph?

you didnt have to do anything other the take out headliner board, remove fabric and paint? love the look and seems like a great alternative to reapplying fabric.

With my stock full size wheel I just turned it around (wheel facing outboard) and used the stock thread bar, running it through the face of the wheel and viola...it fit.

If you need a pic let me know.

A pic would be great. I tried turning mine around, but didn't have any luck.
