Default 2000 XJ

I'm new to the site and new too the Jeep world. I just bought a 2000 XJ. It is my daily but I want to have fun with it too. It has the 4.0 in it. What is a good set-up for daily driving n medium trailing. My idea was a 3" lift (what is a good but cheap lift?) n 31x10.50 (thought about 33x12.50 but not sure if it is too much for daily driving. Please give suggestions. Thanks.

31's are great for a DD.

Lift is just where you want it to sit at. If you have good suspension components then a 2" BB will work just fine. Go much above 2" and you will have to change a lot more to make everything work. With a 2in you don't even have to change the shocks.

If you want a more serious off road package, then shocks and a lot more will have to be changed.

IF your suspension is worn out, then look to a better kit.

I personally prefer to piece the parts out rather than buying a complete kit.

But either way will work.

Congrats on your purchase, welcome to the forum...that said, there are tons of threads on this here already. The first suggestion I'm gonna give you is learn to use the search function. Then do lots of reading. Then read some more. The search button and google are your friend...
here's a couple links to get you going...
