couple questions

Hey guys and gals, I really hate to post up questions about buying another cherokee but everyone on this forum seems so chill (seeing as how theres 5 or so on here with the question) and I really like everyones experience and knowledge on the forum....Sooo, im just wondering, looking at a 2000 cherokee with 106,000 miles on it:icon_lol:. Problems are driver side wheel bearing needs to be replaced, no a/c (which isn't a problem with me), Slow coolant leak, and he says the oil guage sticks..? but says it's fine, just hasnt replaced the sensor. Has four new tires-Aug 2007, so im not really sure on what he means by new lol, and cd player....asking 2500 for it, just seeing what you guys think about it. Thanks!!

P.S the price is still a little high for me seeing as how im a broke college student trying to save, but whats getting me is the mileage. Thats really low from what ive seen, just sketchy on the problems but hopefully not a big deal and low on repair costs.

i got my 96 for 2500 and 124k on it with no problems or leaks, try and talk him down a bit

Ya im going to try and talk him down to 2200 and see what he says. My only concern is the problems. Are they easy low cost fixs or are they something I should just pass on?

Drivers side unit bearing is an easy replacement, just costs money. I'd be wary of the coolant leak and find out exactly where it's leaking coolant from. Price is reasonable. I've seen 2000's with that mileage go for between $4k-$5k around here.

Yeah, thats what im wonder as well. I've asked him about the leak and he doesn't know where its coming from. He's just been filling it up when needed, so im hoping maybe hes not one to get dirty and check and possibly could be a hose leak.

You better hope and pray it's a hose leak and not a head gasket.
