A couple of questions
I just installed a rough country winch today, question is where do you guys keep the wired controller? Installed and somewhere in inside the hood or the cabin? Or just in the car in the event is needed?
also while removing the factory bumper i found this sphere around 5-6" in diameter with a hose attached to it and seems like a vacuum, any idea what is it for? Can this be installed somewhere in the engine bay under the hood?

Most people keep the winch controller inside. The round thing is a vacuum bulb that stores vacuum so you can operate the vents for a short time after the engine is turned off.

I used the screw that was holding it to the bumper. Used an existing hole. Didn’t cut the vacuum tube just looped it. If you need a better pic I could take one.
