That is pretty bad, most people would consider that a parts Jeep at this point and definitely don't drive it like that (especially on public roads).

Is it fixable? Sure, anything is with enough money and time, but it is beyond the point most would consider worth fixing. It would be a ton of work requiring either fabricating a new "frame" rail or getting one from a "donor" Jeep. There is also a good chance if you have rust that bad there is more that you can't see (the rails are known for rusting from the inside out, so the other one may be bad too, even if it looks ok).

Yeah that's trashed. DOA.

You should advise the seller to part the jeep. That can give out and kill somebody. Not safe at all.

Yeah its only good for parts,Unless you have a welder and a frame table or jig its not worth fixing.

Looks like my blue 96 did only better. Mine had no frame or floors the seat brackets where barely there the rear driver seat mount was roped over what was left of the transmission tunnel. Ended up sticking wood in the rails and jamming them down with some self tappers. Wheeled it a bit, Parted it out and got ripped off buy a guy that came to pick it up but karma bit him in the ***. He hooked it up to his truck got the title from me and told me he was just pulling into the street then he would pay me but the prick drove off. The jeep folded at the B-pillar at the end of my street lol.

If that car is being sold from a northern state I bet it's caused by salt and gravel that is put on the roads during winter when it's Icy and snowy out. I saw a ****load of cars with rust and eaten away parts when I was in Alaska a couple weeks ago.

It's bad here in Ohio. It's amazing to see a car thats 5 or more years old that doesn't have some kind of rust here.

I've seen Cherokee go for 2k stock, low miles.... You might need to travel a bit ..... But it's worth the drive to get a sound jeep ....

I just picked this up tuesday for $800. Guy over exaggerated the rust it had. It's just surface bubbling on the rockers and you can't put a screwdriver through it anywhere. It runs great tracks straight no death wobble and everything works. It's a baby right only 78k miles. I've never paid more then $1500 for a cherokee so keep looking good stuff is out there for cheap.
