Was at lowes checking prices and got this idea of using pvc tubing doubled up for a smooth finish and priced it around 20-30 bucks. ..
Now the only reason i thought of this is the fact s**t happens an i have seen friends roll there trucks/jeeps/and suv's and the rack would be toast (this means another 600 bucks to replace ) and well i like my money and my rig so cheaper to build and easy to replace .. I am wanting opinions on this so let the sarcasam begin lol |
What are you gonna carry up there cotton?
Go look up RAGE racks. 89-120 for nice steel ones. |
PVC wont take a lot of weight or any sort of an impact on the trails.
|
i made my first rack out of pvc, alot of ppl said it wouldnt work, hell this this was nice, had my four lights up front and two on the sides, and the total cost was about 60 bucks
|
jonjon would ya have a pic you could show me if not no biggie but i was planning to use it for camp gear and such nothing major or heavy but lights too about it
|

Might hate them but they will hold up better then pvc especially in the cold.

Yeah so you better build your own rims and tires or you are just another poser. LMAO :D I get it tho, I was just sayin. |
Lol i know what ya all are saying just the fact they are exspensive and all besides that really think would hold alot better then most would think as for now i have the stuff and wil make one to see what it'll do and for testing it think my 5 and 10 yr old could give it a good shake down to find any weak spots lol ill post pics as well
|
HAHA Well either way get some pics and post it up! :) (also you dont have to worry about the cold like I do so that shouldn't be a factor. :D )
