can somebody help me :/

I was pulling in today and hit a telephone pole on accident , was wondering if anyone knows how to get dents out without going to the shop ?

What part of your jeep did you dent?

ZeeJay95 10-01-2011 02:49 PM

kinda depends on the size, location, and severity of the dent. Might be able to pull it out with a suction cup or plunger if the dent is big enough and not overly creased. But I am guessing you hit one of the corners of your Jeep? They're tricky.

its the front right fender. ill have to post a picture later.

Front fender shouldn't be a problem. By pulling out the inner fender you can get to the back side of the metal without removing the fender. Please post the pics so we can advise you further

I will do so tomorrow since it's dark out now .

As long as it's not creased your life will be a lot easier. A suction doohickey (technical term) or a little finesse with a hammer/die oughta do it. Otherwise you may be better off with a new fender from the junkyard or a part out.

Looks like there might be a small crease at the top. You might try bending it back by hand. Otherwise it might be easiest to toss on a new fender

XJjeeper97 10-02-2011 10:32 AM

Alright I'll give it a shot and let you know how it went i doubt I'll even move it though lol I need man power for that .

JSmith0055 10-02-2011 10:32 AM

I have the same dent... Hard to get to, im banking on just replacing fender

JSmith0055 10-02-2011 10:33 AM

Did you just say you need a man of power?... Lol

Jk haha

XJjeeper97 10-02-2011 10:34 AM

Roughly how much do you think it will cost ? And yes I did say I need man power . Girls can't so this kinda stuff haha

XJjeeper97 10-02-2011 10:35 AM

That's no excuse! Its only sheet metal after all. As far as how much a new fender costs (I'm guessing is what you're saying) it depends on where you get it from. Junkyard prices are allover the place. Call around and check to see if they have a black 97-01 fender. Otherwise, you might be able to grab one cheaper from a part out.
