Bushwacker flat vs Iceland Fiberglass flares
Who cares about looks... We drive xj's for petes sake... Watch the videos of icelands fenders... Twisted 180 degrees WHILE being run over by a truck... Lets see bushwacker do that... NOT... Bushwackers are for mallcrawlers... Touch a tree and youll be buying a new set... Go fo function... Or go buy the fiberglass fenders and fiberglass rear quarters.... They arnt anymore then fender flares...

Weakest link fails. And although I dont want flares that will crumble at the slightest touch, if you get the strongest flare ever, and hit them hard, they will bend sheetmetal that they are attatched to.
Im about 50/50 on the bushwacker vs iceland.
EDIT: So far the problems I have read, some were not even from trail damage. All are about the pocket style flares though.

Napier fender flares, better than either of those!

Has anyone had or heard any updates on Iceland Offroad? Are they still jerking everyones chain? Or are they pulling it together? Thinking about adding the fender flares, but theres no way I'm "donating" $500 to someone I dont know, I do that enough with my taxes. Ive been reading the horror stories about Iceland, but are older threads, Looking for a more recent update....anyone?

I personally really like the flat flares. They open up the wheel wells quite a lot and are surprisingly very strong. If your going to be flopping your jeep on its side constantly and mobbing your jeep through forests, then yeah maybe fabricating some metal flares is a better option. I dont know about the iceland flares, But what i do know is if you want some flares that can still take some abuse, give you more tire clearance, and look great, then the bushwackers is a very good option in my opinion.
