Just take the bolts out the brackets that hold them to the frame should give you a couple inches just in case I know mine would stretch tight when fully flexed with no swaybar
You need to use an online source like THIS then you can plug in your year and get the complete kit.
Does your XJ have ABS? I just replaced my main line, and found that ordering online for ABS was more difficult (mine has ABS). I was also a bit shocked on the shipping some places wanted. I ended up going to the dealership and got the 1 piece line from the master cylinder union to the rear flex line for $65 or so (I forget the exact amount).
I installed it in all of a few hours taking my sweet time because I was expecting it to be difficult. it was not difficult at all. After loosening the fittings I cut the old one into pieces to make it easy to remove, and then installed the new one. Bled the brakes and was back on the road in no time.
The only "surprise" moment was having to slightly lower the tranny cross member to feed the new line into place. 4 bolts, and that was done.
Unless you don't have the spare time, or the skill I think you are gonna spend unnecessary money taking it to a shop for this job. It is really not that difficult.

You can thank IB Automotive for that mess. It wasnt an issue until they updated the forums the other year. I dont know if it was meant for mobile users or what, but PC users such as myself had issues with it. There are two options in the User CP to disable Infinite Scroll, and Related threads. Disable them. I disabled both and all ive seen since when i open a thread is the thread i opened. None of that other crap.
For those interested, go to User CP > Control Panel > Settings & Options > Edit options > Thread Display Options > Disable Inifinite Scroll > Disable Related Threads > Save and exit. Might have to sign out and back in for it to take affect.

Yes, I hate that feature. If i were in any position of authority on this site, I would disable that feature NOW, across the board, for everyone. No question. I would not even take a poll. It is the cause of most of our zombie threads, I think.
The good news is, YOU can individually turn that stupid feature OFF in your own profile. I found it a year or two ago and I'm glad I did!
Go to your Profile, and "Edit Options" (left side), and scroll down to the "Thread Display Options". Now, near the bottom of that section, "Disable Related Threads" Select that, PayPal me twenty bucks, and you'll be good to go!
Disable those stupid zombie making "Related Threads"!
