Best paint for bumper caps?
im gonna try and get my ugly faded bumper caps painted tomorrow and want to know the best paint to use. i have a 2000 black xj that i polish regularly. what should i use? thanks also what kind of prep work should i do? just scuff it up, prime, then paint?

I almost bought that stuff just because there was an XJ on it! Went with Duplicolor Bed Armor so it would match the bumper. Worked great and is nice and strong.
Is that paint you posted textured? I didn't take a long enough look at it. Thinking of using it for mirrors, door handles, roof rack, etc.

alright i went to autozone looking for that paint and they were out so i got some rustoleum plastic paint that was gloss black. i sanded them with 1000 grit sand paper, then went over with a scotch brite and then wiped down with acetone and then painted. i put 3 coats on it almost looks like it didnt want to stick good. kinda like bubbles or something? what do you think i should do?
edit: you could almost say "blochy" but a bunch of small bloches

1. Use satin not gloss paint.
2. Alcohol is a lot better to prep with, acetone and urethanes don't mix very well, hence the "blochy".
