Anyone running a Leaf under suspension?!?

what are the pros and cons of a leaf under vs leaf over for an XJ? cuz i wanted to run a leaf under set up

MJ's use SUA for the rear. You could swap in one of those. Do not really see much benefit from it, unless you want to lower it. But, why would you want to do that?

i want to do it for travel. i'm in the process of building a 8.8 rear end and im debating my rear suspension. i'm into jeepspeed but probably never gonna race i just want a awsome running prerunner

if anything it would be worse because you would have to have more arch at the same ride height.

most leaf sprung pre runners are spring under with a long shackle

How much lift are you looking for. It would be a very extremely long shackle. Sprung under would lower it close to 4 inches if not more. So even with say a 4.5" pack you would be at stock ride height or with a stock pack you would need a 9" long shackle to be back at ride height. The only way I see would be with custom paring mounts that are lowered maybe

You would probably have to lower the mounts for the leaf springs. Then you wouldn't need such extreme arc on the springs

that arch plus a conversion leaf under shackle is where you would get that travel + the lift needed
