Default for anyone with quarters cut above pinch seam

When I bought my jeep someone had cut the fenders and didn't do a very good job. The rear has really irritated me and I finally got started fixing it.
First step was to make some cuts to the inner wheel well and get it up past the quarter.
Then I made some cuts in the outer and went at it with the hammer till I was happy. So far so good.
Next um gonna seam seal from the inside, but for now my quarters don't flap in the breeze and they look much better. And I gained some clearance. Now I'm thinking I'd going down another inch.

For reference this is about 5" of lift and 35's. Tons of room now

Thats a cool idea man.I am wanting to go to 35s now and this would be better for a low cog.I have around 5"s in the back also.Would you mind taking a mesurement from your wheel center to the top of the fender well and let me know what it is?

Just go up to 37's instead of going down an inch!

Id love to if it werent for that pesky d30!

so from center of axle (approx. hard to measure with tire there) to bottom of wheel opening is 26"
for reference, just in front of the rear tire, bottom of pinch seam to ground is 23 1/2"
