My XJ has more rattles than the fkn titanic, anyone have a rattle free XJ on here? And if so tell me your secrets.

 

Make sure everything is tight and turn up the radio!

 

My 93 DD is rather rattle free.
It's lifted about 3 inches with 31's and everything else is bone stock. The only noise it makes is the exhaust occasionally rattles on the cross member.

Now, my trail rig... That poor thing... It creaks and groans and squeeks and squawks and... It's not a quite ride.

When I bought the Silverado truck I've been DDing I didn't know what to think... When you roll the windows up and turn the radio down while driving down the road you can't tell that it's running. It's so nice and quite. Shhhhh!

 

Fatmat is your friend. I need some in my 89, as it sounds like a tank!

 

mine is rattle free...i do have unibody stiffies and my sliders are welded to them...before I put those on my overhead console and rear seat used to rattle a bit....now it is very tight...my jeep has low miles also so who knows

I was completely rattle free until the other day when I got stuck on my rock pile. Now I have this annoying rattle in the back. I can't find it anywhere?

 

My cage creaks a tad bc it isn't tied in as well as I'd like yet. Otherwise that's it.

 

Nope both mine rattle so much I just turn the radio up lol!

 

My fenders rattle a little from being trimmed, but otherwise nothing makes any noise on mine. Don't care either way, I cant hear anything over the radio or tires, especially if the doors are off.

 

Besides the hard rub on sharp turns in the right front from off set axle, the only rattle I get is if the loose hanger tabs the exhaust at stops

 

i just drove mine the other day for the first time in about a week and it seemed to squeak more than i remember. i like it though. my jeep smells like oil and squeaks like crazy. i actually feel like i am drving a machine.

 

If it didn't rattle, I'd be worried

 

No rattles, lots of squeaks tho.

 

my dad used to have a 98 with BB and upcountry, it was rattle free. it did have death wobble though

 

If my stock Jeep stopped rattling I would be terrified that something finally came lose...
