thats true. but im making mine probably in the next month but im making it out of pvc also but its coming out of the cowl vent on passenger side just like the humvee snorkels.

Also your fence post idea is bogus- the wood is way to heavy and susceptible to weather.. Sheesh.. Haha, just messin!

this works... and its not really that expensive if you find a used one....

plus its not butt ugly like all the other home brew snorkels.

$120 with free shipping to the US, from a Chinese user here on CF. I honestly wouldn't even consider doing a homebrew one. Snorkels are one of those things that just look ridiculous when done wrong.
