I wanna do a homebrew snorkel I want something sleek and trustworthy at the same time I need some advice

this works... and its not really that expensive if you find a used one....

Erics xj has a nice write up including part numbers for a cowl snorkel. It works very well. I have it on mine.

$120 with free shipping to the US, from a Chinese user here on CF. I honestly wouldn't even consider doing a homebrew one. Snorkels are one of those things that just look ridiculous when done wrong.
