Anyone are happy with pro comp mt tires?

I have 2 of 32x11.5 pro comp mt. I want make sure if its worth to buy other 2 and swap them on my xj or sell 2 tirea and get better ones?

Also it is daily driver. I drove approx 120 miles daily.

Dunno about the m/t's but most people seem to think the pro-comps are over-rated (over-priced). Based on how much they cost, I agree. There's much better tires for much less.

It really depends on how much you got invested on the 2 you have. If you got a good deal on them, get 2 more and be done. If you paid full price and money is tight, sell them and get 4 more affordable tires...

As far as being a DD goes, all m/t's are prolly going to perform similarly on the highway, minor differences in noise, tread life, and fuel economy.

I got 2 brand.new tires for price can not beat in world. I just need 2 full price tires. Yes I always think pro comp are over priced until i got 2 good deal. I cant complain. I just wondering how many miles it.will last on roads. I hope it can last at least 40 k miles.

Ive heard they wear quickly.
Heck.. you may be better buying 2 full price ones, and turning around and selling the entire set to make money.

KM2s last a good while..but I wasnt overly happy with there overall performance.

Love my Mickey Thompson MTZs

I've yet to hear anything good about pro comp tires. I know they wear quickly and have heard of alot of blowouts but IMO blowouts are usually the owners stupid fault.

driving 120miles daily, and cost seeming to be an issue you would be better off with an a/t. those pro comps will wear out real fast on that mileage daily.

I was dead set on some 33" km2s but I drive about 62miles or more everyday of the week so I'm probably going with all terrains when I can buy a new set. but who knows lol.

If they are the regular Pro Comp mt's I believe they quit making those. They came out with a Pro Comp mt2 recently.

Yes you are right. Mt are discontinue. Mt2 are new design.

I had 33x12.5 ProComp M/T's on my old Ranger, and I loved them. They did wear quickly, and were a little expensive, but a very well behaving tire for the most part. Blowouts==definitely some dumb owner's fault. Those suckers would take a beating. They also were unstoppable in deep snow and fantastic offroad.

I got Dick Cepek Mud Country's and love 'em. A little bitter cheaper than BFG's too...they perform well in m/t comparison testing and I've gotten a lot of compliments on their looks (the important part, right? lol!) and their performance offroad (rocks, mud, etc).

No one I know likes ProComp tires period.

People I've talked to said the rubber compounds don't last for ****.

XJTAO 04-24-2013 05:39 PM

Ok thanks

I had Pro comp A/Ts on my bronco. Two tires seperated tread within 6 months. Will never buy their crap again.
