Anyone else bog out their motor?
 

I completely flooded my XJ this weekend in about 3 feet of water. I made it thru once slow, then tryed to get back at about 30 and it sucked water thru the engine. yes, i had no snorkel. I worked on her for hours with help from a great jeeper. i had water in the intake, the pistons, oil, relays. I pulled the plugs, changed the water/oil,about 2 quarts water. It actually started again!

I now am scared its gonna get clogged with goo. The water in the oil system made it look like a blown head gasket, milky. I just changed the oil and think im gonna in another couple days. Is there anything I can flush the goo with or any other tips? Thanks in advance and for readin all that, oh, heres a pic of my intake after i rung out my air filter like a towel.

If there is just a little water in the oil it will steam out of the engine "free steam cleaning lol" I would let it get good and warm then change it and run some sea foam thru it.

is sea foam a product? im worried now>I drove and when it warmed up the oil press went down to nada at idle. good when gassing it, but bad at idle which was real low anyway. Ill hammer it for a week and see what happens i guess uless i hear from you guys.

Just keep doing oil changes often untill the milk goes away. U should be fine. At least u didn't do what I did and blow a hole in he side of the block big enuf to put 4 fingers in and 3 holes in the oil pan lol. Had to get a snorkel and a new motor.

If it's running decently, other than the water in the oil, like everyone said, keep flushing the oil a few times (use el cheapo, as ther's no reason to waste the good stuff), change the filters a few times and you should be good to go.

Also, if it's not already, running it a little hot, like 220ish won't hurt for a short period and will guarantee that the water is steamed out.

I'd be checking all the fluids if you went in that deep!:nuke:

definately changing all the fluids asap, first day driving the tranny was slipping, later in same day it stopped and seemed better, still gonna do the fluid, it prolly due.
