airing up after a trail
do you think a harbor freight aircompressor for tires the 250psi one would be fine to air up after a trail run? i think it would but want to see opinions

It'd be best if you included a link to the specific one you are looking at, but I'd think so.
On a side note, I shop at Harbor Freight all the time, and love the place! :D |

Well, for that price give it a shot, and let us know how it works. I don't see why it wouldn't. Harbor freight is awesome.
|
i did buy it and hope it works!
|
Let us know because i might be making that purches if it works...

It will work, if you have a long, long, long, long time to wait. You want to get a compressor to air up after trails look for something that states the number of CFMs. The more CFM the faster it will air your tires up.

I wouldn't waste the money. I tried the same thing and it took me 45 minutes just to air up one tire from 15 psi. I'd get an actual compressor (even a small 3 gallon will work) and secure it in the back. Best would be on board air, but not all of us are there yet - I wish I was.

For $8 it can't hurt to try.
Or call your local shop and ask what CFM they push. But Rock Toy is right, it may have a max capacity of 250psi, but if thats only at 1 Cubic Foot per Min, its not gonna build that 250 psi very quick at all. |
I've got a 10 lb. C02 setup that works sweet. I need to get a bracket made and find a mounting location so I can start carrying it.

Try it if you like, but don't "depend" on it.

How many fill ups does your tank get you average? I have a 20lb tank im looking at getting hydro tested and filled back up with CO2...

I have a 20lb C02 tank with a Harris C02 Reg set at 95psi. By far the best investment i have ever gotten into. Ive used it on the trail with air tools and airing up! It works flawlessly!! I used it all spring and summer and its still pretty heavy!
