Look in the description says a 40hp, 60Tq gain? and for a jeep cherokee

 

I have a bridge I will sell you.... don't believe all that they tell you. My airforce one cold air intake ( which looks EXACTLY like that ) said roughly the same thing and it did nothing for me.

It says "Up to" not that it'll actually give you that much. I ran one for one ride, didn't like the sound and the filter sucked in mud. Mine wasn't that one but real simular.

no its for real my buddy has one on his 2001 xj, he has the dyno print out and he got 41 hp gain! and now he gets like 32mpg! besides that hes stock tho

 

Whine is an understatement and a drone worse than my flowmaster which I couldn't hear over the intake.

 

when the companys who make these advertise them, they find the numbers of the highest HP made of all of their models, and advertise that for all of them. Like one of them may have made 40hp and 60lbfts on a 7.3 ford diesel, which is not uncommon, so of course buying one of their intakes means you can add up to 40hp and 60 lbfts.
What irritates me is the people who buy them and tell you their truck makes 500 hp because the adds combined come out to that.

 

cone filters are junk in cherokees...

keep stock airbox and put a high flow filter.

 

Add a decimal in between those two digits and then your in the ball park... Haha..
In reality it's all about increasing all of the following: air, fuel, spark and compression. Also, your really just freeing up existing ponies by allowing it to breath easier. It ain't forced induction, which I wouldn't recommend saying your doing..
