was out side of ashland oregon south and it got extremely hot and blew white smoke every where. got it home finally and bought a head gasket kit and valve job kit, question is how bad is it to do this job, i am mechanical inclined.
tips and hint would be greatly appreciated.

Do yourself a favor and get a service manual. It will have detailed steps on how to do the job. Look on eBay or Amazon for a factory service manual.

all ready ahead of you bustedback. thanks. just curious how long a job is this? day,two days? i have done a few head gasket repairs on civics, and one on a 2.9 v6 fuel injected ford ranger. gut i freekin love this jeep and want to do it right, completely clean it out and give it its power back.

A good service manual will give you how many hours it will take to do the job.Since you never done it i would double that time to give you some wiggle room.
