I'm aware of the specs of both, I'm just curious to see which you prefer and why.
As for me, I like the dash of the older one better, but my father-in-law's '98 sure is a lot more quiet to ride in than mine!

I like the newer styled interior and better seats and no useless non working vent windows to block my view... Bigger mirrors that also fold in and a nicer looking grill/header panel.

The new intake didn't come untill 99 I have one as my dd and pulled parts off 2 98s bolth had the older intakes. As for me I like the 00. Last year of the high pinion d 30 and first year of the coil packs. My trail rig is a 95 cause I got it for 250 although my 99 dd I picked up for 500. So still holding out for a tard selling a cheep 00.

For me I'd say 91-01... I would look for the rig in good condition, with 8.25 axle, less than 150K Miles, preferably not wheeled hard or modified.

My dads got a 90 and I have a 94. Gotta say I love them both. His seems to have a more robust feel to it though. The thing I like about the 94 is its a WHOLE lot more zippy and fast feeling. The 90 feels like it will never stop but take forever to get up to 70.

BIG 97-99 fan. Not a fan of 00-01's though.

was about to say the same thing about the intakes. Though I'm pretty sure that 99 was the last year of the high pinion dana 30's. The 00 and 01 had low pinion dana 30's and the aluminum heads that were prone to cracking. right? as well as coil packs instead of a distributor.
