So I totaled my cherokee its the jeep cherokee laredo from 87 auto tranny 3 inch suspension lift 31 bfg a/ts no body damage before no mechanical probs before leater interior was near mint had little wear and no tears and the carpet was clean. Kbb on a 91 like mine was 2400 without lift tires tinting ect. Plus I put 15-20 hrs labor into it in the 1month I owned it so they have to pay for that too. Should I be expecting 3k???

Unless you had full coverage that included those modifications, you wont see that 3k. not to be a jerk but the insurance companies don't pay out much for old cars, and full price in modifications.

I did have full coverage! Then my agent said that since I have not had it long and did that much work that technically it may be considered classic and they will have to give more.. not sure!

I saw the pics you posted yesterday... You call that little bit of damage "totaled"? Suck it up, get a new header panel/headlight bezel and drive the hell out of it.
Mine (well, I guess its 'my old one' now...) had the exact same damage when I bought it.
Edit:
Nevermind, found a post I didnt read yesterday. The pics dont make it look as bad as it sounds.

Mine had the exact same damage (except bumper) when I bought it.

A 24 year old vehicle? Unless you had agreed-value insurance, you'll be lucky to get a grand for it from them. If you're dealing with someone else's insurance, you might get more. If this is your own insurance, I wouldn't even have filed it. Your rates are going to go up and they will definitely get back everything they give you and more over the next several years.

When I wrecked my 87 (not my fault), they gave me $900, but that was 6 years ago. Mine was in about the condition of yours, and had about the same type of damage (judging by pic). They totaled it due to the age.

What you do is tell them to find you a comparable Jeep like it and pay you enough to replace yours. Otherwise they will try to bend you over and only give you what blue book says it is worth, which ain't much.
I did this when my wife wrecked her SRT8.

What insurance carrier do you?
The least amount they will give you (pre deductable) is $1000. The most they will give you is $1800-2000.
They will not pay for labor and will only pay pennys on the dollar for aftermarket parts. If you give me the mileage I can tell you what its worth to the insruance company.
